Meet my totally rockin' step-mom, Pattye (we call her Pattyecake). She'll probably kill me for posting these pics, but I just drove through ice and snow to take them. So, I figure she owes me, right? I thought so.
These were taken in the sleet;rain;snow under the shelter of a car wash. Seriously. That should prove to you all that you can get great shots just about anywhere!
Miss Pattyecake needed a few head shots for a company powerpoint presentation and like the rest of us moms out there, had none - mostly because we're always the one taking the photos, right...
Anyway, here are a few of my favorites. Check out her gorgeous blue eyes!
What is it about a haircut that can change your entire outlook on life? Boys...I know this isn't the case for you...but for us gals, it seems to happen frequently. The subtlest of changes and all of a sudden....A NEW WOMAN emerges. Well, I'm not so sure I'm a new woman. In fact, I'm dang positive that hasn't happened. However, I do feel a little more energetic...like joining the "Y" or something. I should get credit for that, right?
Seriously, though, I've been threatened within inches of my life to post some new hairdo pics since I have family who don't get to see me very often. So, without further ado, here are the hideous lovely shots of me (please ignore the fact that I am not wearing any lipstick - remember I'm a stay at home mommy during the day) with some really cool hair!
oh, and don't worry...the double chin will be gone as soon as the "Y" membership kicks in...
In case you haven't noticed, I've made a few changes here at the blog and many changes over at the main website. All galleries have been updated with pictures from this past year and the website design itself has even been updated. So, if you haven't had a chance, take a look! You might even see your own family in some of the galleries!
Just a reminder for any of you who might be interested in some extra puppy love! We have two puppies left to give away! I would love to find a couple of really swell homes for these pups! They are so much fun and full of spunk! If you haven't read the whole story, go here.
and yes, I know my son has his boots on the wrong feet. But, at least, I didn't have to dress him for once!
that's what the card said last night at Bunko with the girls...
nice.
We weren't actually playing Bunko, since "someone" (not me, though) forgot the dice. We were playing a board game called Moods. Have you heard of it? I hadn't either, but went along with it anyway. You have to read the phrase on a card in a particular tone of voice based on the roll of the dice.
Interesting you say? It was definitely that.
We actually had someone who drew the phrase "I'm pregnant" and had to read it in a hopeful tone of voice. Did I mention it was Mardi Gras night at Bunko and this person also got the baby in the middle of the Mardi Gras cake... We thought she was going to have a nervous break down! It was super funny to me, though, considering it was Josh's sister! HEE HEE!
Alright, I didn't take many photos since I feel bad posting pics of people without their permission. So, here are just a handful from our interesting night of Bunko.
The yummy cake...which isn't really a cake - it's more like a bread with icing or something. It's the first time I've ever had one.
and the shrimp boil...I don't eat shrimp, but I did eat the corn. How weird am I?
and here's Karri, setting up for Moods...She was our hostess with the mostest for this Bunko.
Okay, these next two need a little setup or you'll be totally confused. It's really sad, but at our last few Bunko nights we've spent more time syncing cell phones than actually playing Bunko. Why, you ask? Well, simply because we're too lame to pay for our own ring tones. Instead, we steal each others and let me tell ya...some of these ring tones are a little raunchy! Just ask Donald Duck!
We feel like total junior high kids, since we laugh more than anything else. Snicker and laugh...as we listen to the raunchy ring tones and all the old songs everyone has on their phones. OVER AND OVER AND OVER...
Okay, I've been seeing a lot of this HOT momma stuff going around with my photographer friends. So, I figured I might as well participate, right? Here's the deal...
I'm adding a new special for Valentine's Day.
HOT MOMMA SPECIAL...
Remember, this is a HOT MOMMA special. That means you need to be 18 or older to qualify and it's only for the gals. Sorry, boys, you're time will come!

Plus, if you purchase 3 or more of these sessions, the cost drops to $75! So, grab your best girlfriends and make a day of it! Wear your funkiest outfits, cool hats, scarves, totally rad high heels...you name it! I'll even take one big group shot just for you!
That's all I have to say folks! This one's gonna be fun!
Just happened to be cleaning out some old photo CD's and my hard drive and look what I found...
This photo was taken in August of 2006, I was just a couple of months pregnant with Wes. So, technically, both boys are in the photo with me...
and here's a few more from the archive...
and this last one...is of my OTHER sister with Ty... seriously, I do have two...
This sister is also younger, but married with two kiddos of her own. I don't get to take pics of her very often because she's as busy as I am! She's been promising to let me take some pics of her family though...and I'm gonna hold her to it!
Note: all the above pics taken with the plain old point and shoot!
