Shannon Gurney Photoblog: Pool Party

So, yea, apparently I don't keep my promises. I know I promised to have a new post up last night, but I decided to actually go to bed instead. Please forgive me for being so late. This has been a bit of a crazy week! I leave early Friday morning for vacation! WOOT!

I'll be vacationing in Southwestern Colorado (Creede and Ouray) for an entire week before heading to Red River, New Mexico and then back home. If you are waiting for prints or online albums to be posted, be patient. I'll email you with updates as to the progress of your sessions. Email and internet will be limited, but I'll do my best to keep my blogging buddies updated. My plan is to do a couple of posts from the road. Fun, huh! I won't be back in my office until July 7th.

Okay, so now that all of that is out of the way...

I threw a bit of a pool party last Friday and am just now having time to get a look at some of the shots. I thought I'd share a few with you.

How do you like the Mohawk specially designed by his Aunt Joanna?

For some reason, he's going through this phase where he'll put things in and take them out over and over again. Take this juice box, for instance. He played on the side of the pool with that thing for about an hour. It was empty. He just kept sticking that straw in and out of the straw hole in the box. If I'd known that was so entertaining I'd have given him an empty juice box months ago!

Ty's cousin, Kensy, is a hoot! She has such a cute, funny personality...

and, we can't forget our favorite buddies, Kaleb and Hayden...

Kaleb was enjoying some yummy sugar cookies with lots of blue sprinkles...just check out his mouth! Can you see that hint of blue? Thought so. We Gurney's know how to throw a party! Definitely have a cookie or two thrown in for good measure!

I could never get a good photo of Jesse since he's going through this phase where he wants to hide from my camera...the turkey! But, he had to watch to be able to catch that green ball coming his way from across the pool...and I was waiting...even if I did get the him with his eyes closed due to that big splash!
