Still in Kansas.
I can't remember how much I told you before, but the town of Sedan is quite a little treasure trove of interesting facts. For instance, it's the home of the world famous circus clown, Emmett Kelly.
Sedan was founded in 1876 - the current population is around 1300. I would love to live in a town that small. I don't actually live in a town, but if I did, I'd want to live in one like Sedan, KS.
Here is Main Street. Pretty cool, huh.
The town even has a small theater that shows first-run movies on weekends and is home to the Howard County Players, a small theater group.
As you can see, it's currently showing Hancock - a movie I'd love to see. Maybe I can talk someone into taking me tonight...
While we've been staying in Sedan, we haven't been a lot of places - just too busy with everything going on. But, we did make it to the local park.
My sister, Micah, came along with us to Kansas and I've been dragging her around town with me all week. I love having her around because she's awesome with my kiddos - they absolutely adore her, which means they follow her from room to room. In the meantime, I get a small break. I don't want to give her back to her own family!
She's a pretty spunky girl...and is always getting herself into trouble. We had some friends tell us if we were going to the local park to stay away from the barrel...
did she listen...
of course not...
she didn't know I was watching...and with my camera no less...
HEE HEE
ooops, I think she's down...
Yep, I was right. Even Ty saw the disaster... I guess he decided to join her and give it a try...
At this point, I decided to see where Wes had escaped to...who knows how far 'round they got.
LOOKIE LOO....
I made it into some more pics... maybe I should keep my sister with me all the time!
All right, that's all for tonight. I'll check back in with you peeps later!
That main street shot is fabulous! Looks like a fun little town!
