Shannon Gurney Photoblog: Elijah "Eli" Charles

I was blessed to finally get to meet little Eli yesterday. His momma finally decided to drive out to my place to visit and get some pictures since I hadn't been able to visit her. Sad, isn't it?

What kind of friend must I be when I haven't even seen my new little buddy yet! Turns out, when he was born back on September 26th, my boys and I were all sick. I wasn't about to go visit and get little Eli sick. So, now that it's been a month, I feel like I've missed so much.

You might remember seeing little Eli while still in his momma's tummy.

But now, just look at him. I think he's the prettiest baby I've ever seen (except mine, of course)!

The great thing about them coming to my house is that I know where all the "good light" is around here! Perfect! Talk about easy shooting conditions...if you don't count the other four boys trying to dismember him while we were shooting! HA!

Ty was fascinated by the little man and informed me that he needed a new brother. This surprised me cause he's always said he wanted a sister around. But, not now. Eli was just too cute and adorable!

His toes alone make me want to have another baby - RIGHT NOW! But, then I come to my senses and remember I'm living in something the size of a big shoebox!

The nice thing is I can steal little Eli away from his momma when I need a quick fix. Sounds like a good plan to me!

If his momma would let me anyway... Right now, she's holding on tight and breathing in all the awesomeness of being a momma to Eli, Hayden, and Kaleb. It still amazes me how spectacular being a momma can be. God is good.
