Rice Family

The last time I met up with the Rice family was two years ago before I even had this crazy blog.  I took a ton of photos of their crew in the backyard of their home - with that many people it was definitely interesting since the yard was a bit small. 

This year, we met at a nice, local park they suggested.  It was really bright and sunny, which makes for difficult shots.  But, we were still able to sneak in some good ones! I would say these are my favorites, but since there are SO many shots, this isn't even the tip of the iceberg!

Kelsey

Wow!

I thought I'd have this post up for Kelsey by Thanksgiving day, but as you can see, I barely made it by "the day after" (a.k.a. Black Friday).  I hope she hasn't been sitting by her computer this entire holiday holding her breath!  That could be dangerous, especially when there's so much good food to be eaten!

Not to worry, though, Kelsey.  It's here now!

I had a super time hanging with Kelsey, her grandparents, and her boyfriend in Bricktown.  We did some major walking and, since it was a morning session, had to look really hard for some nice lighting.

Calderon Family

The Calderon Family are new clients who haven't had their pictures taken in a really long time and can count on one hand the number of times TOTAL they've had their photos taken.  Seriously.  I can SO relate to this!  As most of you know, the only photo my crew has ever had taken professionally (by someone other than myself) was on our honeymoon cruise when the boys didn't even exist yet!

I do have some plans in the works to get some shots done, but it's hunting season and getting Josh to be anywhere other than in the woods right now is nothing short of a miracle.  If you are married to a hunter, you know what I mean.

Anywho, moving right along.  I plan on taking a much needed break for a couple of days over Thanksgiving.  You should see a couple more posts through the weekend.  Then, on Monday, I'll be back FULL FORCE especially since I have a day of minis on Sunday!  See you all soon!

Flowers Family

WOW!  The flowers family was so great! 

I met this family through a referral from another client of mine whose wedding I'd done.  The dad and I had been communicating for quite some time through email...so much so, that when I finally met him, I felt like I'd known him forever! 

As the session date approached, we were really worried about what the weather would be like - it keeps teasing us with these really cold days and then all of a sudden it'll switch back to warm weather for a day or two.  I happened to mention to dad they should bring a pretty red jacket for their sweet little gal, just in case.  I figured they had one (you know, with girls and all).  Nope.  Instead, he took it upon himself to stop by a clothing store on the way home from his office and pick one up!  Seriously!

I mean, are there really men like this out there?  Cause, there is no way, NO WAY, my hubby will be shopping for our little girl (if we ever have one).  I'm afraid it just isn't going to happen - even if I beg.  But, this dad was great about it.  I'm pretty sure he even picked out her headband!  Take a look at how cute they all are!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Baby D

It's only been a couple of months since I saw Darian (a.k.a. Baby D) last.  In fact, I've been snapping photos of his momma and the rest of her family for the past couple of years.  I even got some shots of Darian while he was in her tummy. 

So, getting to see him now at 6 months is extra special.   I love that I'm getting to watch him grow and change throughout the months.  This time around I was super excited to find that his momma had planned a whole bunch of pics around certain props for the holidays.

Levi & Erica

Man, I've done a ton of engagement sessions lately.  I'm not complaining, though, because they are one of my favorite types of sessions...

especially when I get a really great couple like this one whose willing to be themselves even with me around.  I almost felt like I was peeping in on their intimate world.  It was perfect.  They snuggled and laughing and played all while my camera was watching.  If you're a photographer, you know this was an absolute dream of a session.

The really neat part about it, though, was that Levi is a photographer himself.  So, while snapping photos of him and Erica, I was able to talk shop with another photog.  COOL!

Jeff, Roxanne, and Riley

I've known Roxanne for a while now - she's good friends and works with my awesome hairdresser, Sheena.  I've been going to Sheena for around 10 years now.  Roxanne has been in the same shop as her for as long as I can remember.  So, I was pretty excited when she called me up to schedule a session.

As you can tell by the photos below, this is an adorable family with a lot of spunk.  I love that mom and dad are super stylish and little Riley fits right in. 

I felt a little bad the morning of our session because Ty (my oldest) woke up sickly and couldn't go to school.  Guess what that meant?  Either cancel my session or drag him along.  This time of year it takes a major catastrophe for me to reschedule a session.  So, off Ty and I went to take some photos for this radically cool family!

Kyle & Lahree

I met up with Kyle and Lahree at the botanical gardens you guys are so used to seeing on my blog right now.  In fact, I've had a TON of sessions there lately.  But, I have to say, the place is just plain gorgeous this time of year.  It's the perfect place for an engagement session.

I'd never met Kyle before, but I was lucky enough to photograph Lahree a month or so ago for a boudoir session.  It was the first session I've ever done like that - I was winging it the entire time!  She's beautiful...as you can see!  Kyle is a lucky guy!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Jordy & Danah

This couple drove all the way from Healdton, Oklahoma.  I'm so glad they did, too, because they were so much fun!  I know I say that all the time about families and couples, but I really enjoyed hanging out with these two.  They were constantly cracking jokes and picking on each other.  It totally reminded me of everyone in my household!  HA!

Booze Family...

along with Lucy, Mallory, and Annie.  Annie was the little one (in case you were wondering...).

It's amazing this session actually took place!

The truth is we had to reschedule it TWICE due to weather conditions - I think they'd given up hope for actually getting some fall photos.  But, it did happen.  AND, it happened on an absolutely gorgeous day!  There was a tiny bit of chill in the air, but the colors and lighting were perfect.
