Rice Family

The last time I met up with the Rice family was two years ago before I even had this crazy blog.  I took a ton of photos of their crew in the backyard of their home - with that many people it was definitely interesting since the yard was a bit small. 

This year, we met at a nice, local park they suggested.  It was really bright and sunny, which makes for difficult shots.  But, we were still able to sneak in some good ones! I would say these are my favorites, but since there are SO many shots, this isn't even the tip of the iceberg!

Calderon Family

The Calderon Family are new clients who haven't had their pictures taken in a really long time and can count on one hand the number of times TOTAL they've had their photos taken.  Seriously.  I can SO relate to this!  As most of you know, the only photo my crew has ever had taken professionally (by someone other than myself) was on our honeymoon cruise when the boys didn't even exist yet!

I do have some plans in the works to get some shots done, but it's hunting season and getting Josh to be anywhere other than in the woods right now is nothing short of a miracle.  If you are married to a hunter, you know what I mean.

Anywho, moving right along.  I plan on taking a much needed break for a couple of days over Thanksgiving.  You should see a couple more posts through the weekend.  Then, on Monday, I'll be back FULL FORCE especially since I have a day of minis on Sunday!  See you all soon!

Flowers Family

WOW!  The flowers family was so great! 

I met this family through a referral from another client of mine whose wedding I'd done.  The dad and I had been communicating for quite some time through email...so much so, that when I finally met him, I felt like I'd known him forever! 

As the session date approached, we were really worried about what the weather would be like - it keeps teasing us with these really cold days and then all of a sudden it'll switch back to warm weather for a day or two.  I happened to mention to dad they should bring a pretty red jacket for their sweet little gal, just in case.  I figured they had one (you know, with girls and all).  Nope.  Instead, he took it upon himself to stop by a clothing store on the way home from his office and pick one up!  Seriously!

I mean, are there really men like this out there?  Cause, there is no way, NO WAY, my hubby will be shopping for our little girl (if we ever have one).  I'm afraid it just isn't going to happen - even if I beg.  But, this dad was great about it.  I'm pretty sure he even picked out her headband!  Take a look at how cute they all are!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Jeff, Roxanne, and Riley

I've known Roxanne for a while now - she's good friends and works with my awesome hairdresser, Sheena.  I've been going to Sheena for around 10 years now.  Roxanne has been in the same shop as her for as long as I can remember.  So, I was pretty excited when she called me up to schedule a session.

As you can tell by the photos below, this is an adorable family with a lot of spunk.  I love that mom and dad are super stylish and little Riley fits right in. 

I felt a little bad the morning of our session because Ty (my oldest) woke up sickly and couldn't go to school.  Guess what that meant?  Either cancel my session or drag him along.  This time of year it takes a major catastrophe for me to reschedule a session.  So, off Ty and I went to take some photos for this radically cool family!

Booze Family...

It's amazing this session actually took place!

The truth is we had to reschedule it TWICE due to weather conditions - I think they'd given up hope for actually getting some fall photos.  But, it did happen.  AND, it happened on an absolutely gorgeous day!  There was a tiny bit of chill in the air, but the colors and lighting were perfect.

The boys were adorable...not to mention all the pooches.  Even Dad was a good sport!  So, Booze family, here are my favorites!

Macie & Hannah

I've gotten to see this family quite a bit in the last year.  Most recently, was this past April, when we met at the Myriad Gardens for some fun, park-type shots.  This time around we headed down by the river in Bricktown.  The crazy part is they (and me) really wanted to reschedule due to the weather - it was absolutely FREEZING and crazy WINDY, but with my busy schedule right now, there was no changing our day.

So, off we all went into the freezing cold to snap some photos for this great family.  The girls were so cold they were turning blue, poor things, but we were still able to capture some great shots...if you can believe it.  Just take a look...
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The Davis Crew

It's been just over a year since I saw this crew last.  We got some great pics back then at Choctaw Creek Park, but this year we switched it up and went to Harrah.  I was super glad since it was SO windy (again) and Harrah park has some great nooks to keep you a tiny bit sheltered.

The kids are all growing like crazy - just look how tall the girls are!  AND, Lydia, the oldest of the bunch just got her braces off!  She is looking mighty fine!  HA!  Spencer, their little man, reminds me so much of Ty.  We keep saying we're gonna get the two of them together, but haven't made it happen just yet.  One day soon...

Holloway Family 2008

It was nice to see this crew again.  As you all know, Karri, is one of my good buddies. Every year this is what she does for her family at Christmas - purchase an extra large session so everyone gets family photos.  It's a pretty cool gift if you ask me.  I wish someone would buy me a gift certificate for a photo session....

This time last year, everyone seemed so much smaller and I guess they were.  Last time, we explored the cool spots at Karri's aunt's house.  But, this year, we stayed pretty traditional and headed to the local botanical gardens.  We got super lucky with the weather, too.  It was a tad bit chilly, but no wind, which is amazing this time of year.  We started off with Grandma and Papa since we forgot to get shots of them with the grandkids last time.  Here are my favorite shots!

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Snovel Family

I was really pumped about getting to meet up with this family again.  You might remember not too long ago, when I got the pleasure of photographing just the kiddos.  This time around, I was amazed at just how much they'd grown, especially the little man.  He was barely sitting up back then and now he was off crawling every time we wanted him to sit!

AND, his big sis was just as spunky as ever.  Last time, I chased her around in the park and even got to shoot some pics of her splashing in the sprinklers.  It was much too cold for sprinklers this time, much to her disappointment!  But, we were able to walk around enjoying the sunset in downtown Norman.

Charron Family

I met the Charron family a couple of months back when I photographed their oldest daughter's softball team.  You might remember all the posts I did on the Little Barbies...

I knew it would be a great session because both little gals are adorable and full of spunk!  AND, the funniest thing is...

I didn't recognize their gorgeous momma all dolled up and she didn't recognize me either (with my new highlights).  So, we were both standing around in the parking lot looking goofy until she finally approached me.  At that point, we both started laughing!

But, everything turned out great...especially the weather.  In fact, the park was SO full of photographers, we actually had to wait a few minutes to get some of the best spots!  It was crazy!

It was completely worth it, though.  Just look at all the great shots I got!

AND, these next two are my absolute favorite from the whole session!  In fact, the first one is my new favorite ALL AROUND!  Just look at that sun flare and those expressions.  Can you tell they were pooped and totally finished having their pictures taken?
